The higher the fat grams, the more points that are in that food. The higher the fiber grams, the less points.
The ultimate effect is that you learn to eat healthier. The plan shows you that a high fiber, low-fat diet is among the healthiest way to lose weight. Each week, you are given a form to write down everything you eat, and how many points it has. If you know you are going out for a nice dinner, you can use less of your points earlier in the day, so that you can “bank” some of the points for later.
